Red Mangio

1958-2006

UCSF's favorite cheerleader, Red Mangio, passed away in August of 2006. A pioneer for fun and the developer of the Arts & Events Volunteer and Outreach Team, Red was an advocate for community activity, responsibility, and celebration. Red's magnetic personality helped to bring together masses of people from all walks of life and life experience. He worked for UCSF for 17 years and our community owes a great deal to the positive energy that emanated from the big heart of Red. He will be forever remembered, missed, and admired. Red will forever be a part of our story.
