Mei Fen Li

Hello, my name is Mei Fen Li. I came here from the south of China in 1983. I attended an adult school program to learn English while I worked in the mornings. In 1986, my two brothers and I opened up a bakery business. I later sold my share of the business so I could take care of my daughter who was born in 1993. In 2002 I began to take child development classes at City College and earned 12 units very quickly. Since then, I have worked in a couple of different programs, Happy Day Preschool and the Teaching Tots Program. I love working at the Marilyn Reed Lucia Center for UCSF as it is very close to my home. I love working with these kids. In my spare time I go shopping, have coffee with biscuits and enjoy watching TV to relax.
