WHO WE ARE
The second largest employer in San Francisco, with a bustling, daily population of nearly 20,000, UCSF presents a unique opportunity for prospective vendors to serve a consistent yet diverse market of university students, faculty, and staff, as well as the general public. The University is home to several Nobel Prize winners, groundbreaking medical and scientific research, and ranks among the nation's top medical schools and medical centers.

Retail Services currently manages the leases for approximately 17 commercial tenants at five UCSF campus locations, including at the 107-acre Parnassus campus. In 2005, expansion at UCSF's 43-acre Mission Bay campus will create an additional 10,000 square feet of retail space.

WHO WE SERVE
The average customer at UCSF is highly educated, with a somewhat sophisticated palate, as well as a diverse cultural background. Our customers include graduate students, staff, faculty, post-doctoral fellows, researchers, medical patients, and visitors. Many of our customers are long-term employees of UCSF. More than 50% of UCSF employees have worked here for more than five years and 26% have been here at least 10 years or more.
